Thursday morning a passerby around 5am reported flames coming from The Schoolhouse roof formerly Sperryville's original school built in circa 1909.Currently being used as a community/conference center and the oldest portion getting ready to open with multiple antique shops. Today Friday Jan. 29 2010 , the Sperryville Vol. Fire Dept. was awarded a $40,000 grant minus their 5 % share match for Operations & Safety .
